Opel has launched a completely overhauled and modernized version of its online employee magazine, Opel Post. The digitized version of the newsletter is now available in five languages, German, English, Spanish, Polish and Hungarian, so Opel’s factory employees across Europe may read it in their first language.
“When our first employee newsletter was introduced in 1949 the Internet was not on anyone’s radar. Today, breaking news spreads digitally. The trend is towards more up-to-date coverage and electronic dissemination,” Johan Willems, Opel Vice President Communications, said in a statement. “This is why already last year the Board decided to adapt our strategy and publish the Opel Post electronically,”
Opel says the new online magazine has an attractive, intuitive layout. The page naturally adapts to the size of the screen it is being viewed on, making it accessible whether you are on a computer, smartphone or tablet. The Opel Post will be updated every Monday, with the top stories tweeted out on the site’s brand new Twitter page.
