British automaker Arash pulled the wraps off of its new mid-engined AF8 supercar last month. The £165,000 (about $263,000 US) Arash features an upgraded 7.0-litre LS7 V8 making 550 horsepower and 472 lb-ft sending power to the rear wheels through six-speed manual transmission. People sometimes have their doubts about these small boutique supercar companies, but the AF8 looks pretty well put together to our eye. Arash wasn’t lying about the power either, they even strapped the car to a dyno to prove it.
The AF8 made a healthy 563 horsepower on the dyno, hitting a sky-high redline of 7,500 rpm. It sounded pretty good in the process, too. We’ll have to wait and see whether or not Arash will get many of these cars on the road, but if they do, we know they will be fast. Check out the dyno run in the video below from YouTube user Shmee150.
