With the 2014 Corvette Stingray, Chevrolet was looking to both hold on to its current customers and also possibly attract a new, younger demographic to the sports car. There is possibly no better way to present the latest ‘Vette to the younger car-buying generation than to showcase it at the hip Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival held in Indio, CA.
During the first weekend of Coachella, Chevrolet, in part with McDonalds, hosted the Stingray Desert Pool Party at the Bootsy Bellows Estate. The party was invite only and attracted a number of celebrities including Leonardo Di Caprio, Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, Vanessa Hudgens and Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In addition to the pool party and concert, party-goers also had the chance to ride in a Corvette Stingray on a slalom course. Gadget Review was on hand to document the event and asked a few of the people that got a ride in the Stingray what it felt like. One girl described it as being “So f-ing fun!” We’re sure that’s the type of response Chevy was hoping for.  Check out some clips from the party in the video below.
