National Corvette Museum Raffling Off BYO Corvette Stingray

Did you know that the National Corvette Museum has several raffles a year? Honestly, if you take a look at their web page, it’s almost too good to be true. The raffles are a way to raise funding for the day to day operations of the museum. The winner of the next raffle, which is scheduled for March 27th, 2014, will be able to build his/her own Corvette coupe or convertible Stingray or opt for $55,000 cash instead. We gotta wonder why someone would do that when custom-building a Corvette can be so much more interesting. The winning Corvette draw includes:

  • Select the colors and options of your car
  • Customer-selectable VIN (Z06 and Premier Edition options excluded)
  • Corvette Museum Delivery
  • Note: Z51 and Exposed Carbon Fiber Roof options are currently on constraint and may not be available
  • Limited to 1,500 Tickets at $150 each

Pretty cool, right? Alas, all 1,500 tickets have been sold, so you can’t win your own special Corvette Stingray. But all is not lost, mon frère, as the next raffle is on April 10th. That car is an Arctic White Stingray convertible—here are the stats:

  • 6.2L V8 460-hp engine
  • 6-speed paddle shift automatic transmission
  • Multi-mode performance exhaust
  • 5-spoke chrome aluminum wheels with red calipers
  • Adrenaline Red interior with 8-way power Napa leather heated and vented seats
  • Black convertible top
  • 3LT equipment group with Bose 10-speaker audio system, head-up display, universal home remote and navigation.
  • Battery protection package
  • Corvette Museum Delivery
  • Limited to 2,014 tickets at $100

Visit the National Corvette Museum Raffles page to find which raffle interests you.

  1. Why take the cash. Either way the Infernal revenue service wants a piece of the action. The winner has to pay 25% federal income tax before taking delivery. Or have 25% deducted from the $55000.
