Sales of the Opel Mokka have doubled to 200,000 units less than one year after the innovative subcompact SUV hit the 100,000 units sold target in April of last year. The Mokka currently accounts for 11.3 percent of the sub-compact SUV segment in Europe, making it the third most popular vehicle of its type in the region.
Opel says the Mokka is a clear front runner in Scandinavian regions. In Finland and Norway, the Mokka has a stronghold on 24% and 21% of the subcompact segment, respectively. In the UK the Mokka owns 17 percent of the market share while in Germany, it is the clear front runner for the entire SUV segment with 12 percent market share.
“The Opel Mokka has once again proven its resilience and success in winning additional customers in a challenging market,” Peter Kuspert, GM Europe Vice President Sales and Aftersales said in a statement. “We are very pleased to see that our small-SUV champion is one of the frontrunners in the SUV market and plays a key role in energizing the Opel brand and bringing it right into the winners’ spotlights.”

I really like the styling of the Mokka and the Adam. I wish they were available for our market, as I think that the Opel designers are putting out the most dynamic, and dynamite designs in the auto world.
