LSX-Powered Cadillac CTS-V Makes 1,444 Horsepower On The Dyno: Video

For most folks, the 556 horsepower on offer from the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe’s 6.2 liter supercharged LSA engine is plenty. It’s enough to help it accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and continue on to a top speed of 198 mph, which is more than you would ever need from a street car. But that didn’t stop SNL Performance from nearly tripling the horsepower of their CTS-V Coupe.

The stock LSA engine wouldn’t have been able to produce the big numbers SNL was going for, so they swapped it out for a 434 cubic inch LSX engine. The engine received a pair of oil-less turbochargers, an air-to-water intercooler, Mast Black Label cylinder heads and a Wilson intake manifold, which resulted in a tire-shredding 1,444 horsepower and 1,362 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels.

There are no videos of the monstrous CTS-V running down the drag strip or driving on the street, but we imagine SNL will put one out eventually. In the meantime, check out the world’s most powerful CTS-V showing you what it’s got on the dyno in the video below.
