Jimmy Kimmel Has The Solution For Road Rage With The “Chevrolet Rage”: Video

There are all sorts of new car safety technologies on the market today, such as lane departure warning, forward collision alert, rear collision alert and even brakes which will stop for you if the car detects you are not paying attention. There is one area of safety which automakers have not yet covered though, road rage. What if you get cut off but don’t want to exact revenge on your fellow motorist without putting yourself in harm’s way? This latest skit from Jimmy Kimmel Live might just have the answer.

The skit features a fictional car, which is actually a ninth-generation Impala, called the Chevrolet Rage. The rage is like any other Chevy, except that it has a PA system that will scream obscenities at other drivers and pedestrians if they wrong you in some way. That of course will make people want to fight you, but don’t worry, because the Rage comes equipped with former MMA fighter Chuck Liddell, who will climb out of the trunk and beat the wrongdoer with a tire iron on command.

We can’t see the Chevrolet Rage making it as a production model, but there might just be a market for something like this. The costs of maintaining the Iceman feature are probably astronomical though. Scroll below for the video.

  1. Maybe Jay Leno can run Kimmel’s A$$ down in his ZR1, Corvair or Volt.

That would get me to tune into Kimmel.

  2. Sorry Kimmel, really dumb IMO.

  4. This parody of an ad runs 76 seconds longer than it should have.

It’s what I call “SNL syndrome”; when a joke that should have ended a minute ago will drag on for far longer than it’s needed.
