Facelifted Chevrolet Cruze Spied Again, Will It Get The New Line Of Ecotec Motors?

General Motors announced last week it will introduce a new Chevrolet Cruze for the Chinese market which will utilize their recently announced line of Ecotec small engines. Currently, it is unclear if this will be an all-new model, or a revised version of the current car, but either way, it appears a facelifted Cruze is destined to appear in China at some point.

Indian Autos Blog has photographed a heavily revised version of the Chevrolet Cruze, which according to them, is set to debut at the Beijing Motor Show next month. The new Cruze appears to have all-new, larger headlights, a new hood, a wider lower air dam and narrower fog lights. The rear has also been heavily changed, with the license plate bracket now on the bumper, new taillights and a larger, center-mounted Chevrolet bowtie. The interior has also been photographed, but is expected to remain almost the same as in the current Cruze.

The car in the photos looks the same as the Chevrolet Cruze which was spotted hitching a ride uncovered on the back of a flatbed truck in China last year. Right now, it’s hard to tell if what we’re looking at is the new Chinese market Cruze which will debut GM’s Ecotec motors in the country, or a revised version which will go on sale before the aforementioned all-new model.

  2. I saw this Saturday the Cruze in LE SALON DE L’AUTO D’ALGER and i don’t like the interior its a downgrade interior with bad materials compared to the VW Jetta even the high Cruze which costs approximately 30000 dollars seems low coast compared to the Jetta in interior and option comparison.
I liked the new Optra with its 1.5 p-tec engine (if someone know about it) its a quite engine, the interior is quite good compared to the price.
i didn’t understand something, the old Optra come back and a disposable told me that it’s build in Korea. In my information GM stop building this car, only the Optra active in latin America.
    Any answer???
