Chevy Spark EV Wins Electrical Vehicle Comparison Contest

We’re not the only ones who find the 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV endearing, as it has recently been crowned winner of Car and Driver Magazine’s electrical vehicle comparison contest. Critics noted the car combined a studied application of brainpower and enthusiasm even though General Motors sued California over the electric vehicle mandate.

The Spark EV went up against five other small electric vehicles in the test. This ranged from the Smart ForTwo ED Cabriolet (6th place), Fiat 500E (5th place), Nissan Leaf SL (4th place), Honda Fit EV (3rd place), and the Ford Focus EV (2nd place). Of the pack, the Spark EV was the quickest, had the shortest braking distance, and has the highest EPA-rated MPGe mileage.
