Chevrolet Commences Launch Of Trax Small CUV In China

Shanghai GM is set to try to draw more Chinese customers into the Chevrolet brand with the rollout of the Trax small crossover in the second quarter of 2014, which is now until June.

The China-spec Trax will be locally built, and will feature a familiar 1.4L turbo motor, which can be mated either a six-speed manual, or a six-speed automated manual transmission. Power will be sent to either the front wheels, or all of them with an “on-demand” all-wheel-drive system, which engages when systems sense slippage.
