Chevrolet Announces Special Edition Spark Dot For Mexico

Chevrolet has announced the special edition Spark Dot subcompact destined for the Mexican market.

The Spark Dot is based on the standard Spark in LTZ form, which means it retains the 1.2 liter four-cylinder engine producing 84 horsepower and 80 lb-ft of torque as well as the five-speed manual transmission. However it is set apart by the silver stripe running from the rear fascia to the hood, body color side skirts, chrome exhaust tip and sporty 14-inch alloy wheels. It will be available in three exterior colors, Red Chip, White Mega and Black Net.

The minor cosmetic changes continue in the Spark Dot’s cabin. It features light grey seats with a ‘Dot’ design similar to the stripe on the exterior, door and dashboard inserts in grey or red, and a 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The 2014 Spark Dot is available now in Mexican Chevrolet showrooms with a price tag of 176,500 pesos ($13,402 US).

Sam loves to write and has a passion for auto racing, karting and performance driving of all types.

  1. What, no Jalapeño Green? That is a staple of all Mexican meals, yet they cannot buy the Spark in their favorite food color?
