Chevrolet has agreed to donate up to 2,500 One World Futbols (aka indestructible soccer balls) to afflicted children in 11 countries throughout Eastern Europe. Chevrolet also teamed up with SOS Children’s Village in a number of European countries (Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Serbia) to donate One World Futbols to families living in the villages. But not the Ukraine, interestingly.
“About 1,000 of the 2,500 balls will go to families in Albania, where the SOS Family Strengthening Program will distribute them within its communities and friends,” said Georges Megyeri, Managing Director of Chevrolet Central and Eastern Europe.
The 2011 World’s Best Referee, Viktor Kassai, started off the donation by taking 100 footballs to 100 thankful children at the SOS Children’s Village in the western Hungarian town of Koszeg.
Chevrolet is the founding partner of the One World Futbol initiative and the company plans to donate 1.5 million soccer balls globally. One World Futbols are designed to outplay and outlast many other sports balls on the market and are ideal for play in any terrain. Furthermore, One World Futbol has donated over 700,000 soccer balls to 164 countries, providing play to an estimated 21 million youths.

This is just another example of why I don’t support charities!
Yes. Because giving out some soccer balls will obviously turn everyone into worthless contributions to society.
When you decide to give charitable goods to only a few select few then you are choosing to only to help certain people and that’s sad!
That’s why I refuse to help the make a wish foundation!
