Chevrolet put a tremendous amount of time and effort into making the most track capable fifth-generation Camaro they could with the 2014 Z/28. The Z/28 has more than 190 unique components from to the standard car and even has the option of ditching the A/C unit for the customer who really wants a no-compromise race car for the road.
Now car enthusiasts everywhere want to know if the weight saving techniques and racecar-inspired aerodynamics work paid off. After all the Z/28 might have lost nearly 300 pounds, but the fifth-generation Camaro is still a big and relatively heavy car. Thankfully, Autoblog’s Michael Harley took the Z/28 out to Barber Motorsports park to find out if the hard core Z/28 is everything it’s cracked up to be. good point, i always said put a supercharger on a 1LE and have the best of both worlds,for not a lot of $, but who wouldn’t want a 427- Z/28, can they top this with the next gen ????,– probably .☺
