2014 Camaro Gets Deep Magenta Metallic Hue, May Offer Lime Rock Green And Laguna Blue Tintcoat

Back in January, Chevrolet’s Marketing Manager for Performance Cars, John Fitzpatrick, said the 2014 Camaro would soon add a new shade to its color palette, Deep Magenta Metallic. The color still won’t be officially available until later this year, but we can now have a look at it in the flesh after a Camaro sporting the new standout hue quietly made an appearance at the Cleveland Auto Show.

The V6 model at the Cleveland Auto Show is wearing a set of matte black racing stripes to go along with the new purple shade. Interestingly, we also stumbled across a 1SS model painted in Deep Magenta Metallic for sale by Purifoy Chevrolet in Colorado, which is sporting a set of silver racing stripes for an even more unique look. Deep Magenta Metallic has also officially been added to the Camaro’s online configurator.

On top of Deep Magenta Metallic, the Camaro’s color palette is set to grow even more, according to Camaro News. The Camaro will add two of our favorite colors offered on the Corvette Stingray, Lime Rock Green and Laguna Blue Tintcoat, for the 2015 model year. There are also rumors that when the new colors are introduced, Blue Ray Metallic will be discontinued.

  2. Not really workup as they have for the last few years offered special colors. That has been part of the marketing as well as the special editions. They just took a page from the Miata book.

Be it that this years colors are a little more pleasant. I did like the limited Hot Wheels blue. Too bad it was only for 6 months.
