Vauxhall has appointed Tim Tozer as the new Chairman and Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors and CEO of Opel Ireland. Tozer succeeds Duncan Aldred in the position, who was recently promoted to US Vice President of Buick-GMC Sales, Service and Marketing.
Tozer, who Vauxhall says has a proven track record within senior management positions in the European automotive industry, will be responsible for all aspects of Vauxhall Motors in the UK. He will report to Executive Vice President of Opel/Vauxhall and President of General Motors Europe, Karl-Thomas Neumann and Vice-President of Sales & Aftersales, Peter Kuespert.
Before hopping on board with Vauxhall, Tozer was, most recently, CEO of Autobinck Holding NV. Prior to that he was President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Europe, Managing Director of Mazda UK and a Regional Director of Inchcape Motors International.
“Tim brings a wealth of motor industry experience to the Opel/Vauxhall organisation, a strong understanding of the sales and marketing functions and a wide knowledge of both operational and strategic aspects of the business,” Karl-Thomas Neumann said in a statement.
Comments
Tim Tozer has a tough act to follow, Duncan Aldred was a personal friend and will be missed by all at Vauxhall. Certainly at Mazda UK Tozer made very little impact for the company but lets look on the positive side and hope he carries on where Duncan left off, as it stands Vauxhall is still the only real bright spot in GME.
