Three GMC vehicles, the Yukon, Sierra 1500 full-size pickup and the Sierra HD full-size pickup, have ranked highest in their respective segments in the 2014 J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study.
The announcement marks the second year in a row the Sierra HD has received the highest possible ranking in the Vehicle Dependability Study.
“The momentum continues at GMC with this recognition,” Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick and GMC marketing, said in a statement. “Sierra, our highest-volume vehicle, now has its entire line of trucks ranked as the most dependable. Our all-new 2015 Sierra HD and 2015 Yukon full-size SUV have begun hitting dealerships, and we look to build that momentum in 2015.”
J.D. Power ranks vehicles on their dependability based on information gathered from owners of vehicles three years and older.
In addition to the three GMC models, several other General Motors products made an appearance on the list. The Buick Lucerne, Cadillac DTS, Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Camaro and Chevrolet Volt were all noted by owners for their dependability.
