Livernois Motorsports Tunes 2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport, Dynos It: Video

The 2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport can best be described as thrilling business cruiser without compromising much of the comforts that old-school Cadillacs were known for. It has plenty of power, but that hasn’t stopped Livernois Motorsports from adding even more kick to the all-wheel-drive sedan.
With a simple 93-octane performance tune, Livernois is able to increase the power delivery in the XTS Vsport’s LF3 twin-turbo V6 from 298 base wheel horsepower to a very respectable 394 whp for a net gain of 96 horsepower, and torque is increased from 326 to 430 for formidable 104 lb-ft gain. Have a look at the results below.
I know AWD eats up more power through the drivetrain but these numbers just don’t make sense. Bone stock CTS-VSports with the same LF3 have made between 371-388whp and 426-436wtrq on all the dyno vids I’ve watched. Figure in RWD automatic drivetrain loss and this motor makes the claimed 430hp and overdoes the 430ft-lbs rating GM gives and is closer to 470-500ft-lbs at the crank. Stock XTS-VSports have made 350whp and 370wtrq on other AWD dynos. Looks like Dan Millen and the rest of the crooks at Livernois are still up to their numbers-fudging ways. I worked at another SE Michigan tuning company (that I will leave unnamed) last summer as one of my internships and customers brought in cars that Livernois worked on. We checked the dyno sheets they gave them and the barometric pressure, temp, humidity, and water grains listed didn’t match NOAA databases for the given dates. They just change all the inputs so the customer sees the hp number they want and goes on their merry way thousands of dollars poorer. You dont gain close to 100whp by tuning for 93 octane how stupid do they think people are. Classic Livernois, sandbag the baseline, fluff the end result. Realistically they gained 25-30whp and 30-40wtrq through the tune hopefully this guy didnt shell out too much money for this garbage.
its turbo engine! tuning an extra 100hp is that big of a deal maybe more boost was added
Description says only a 93 octane tune not more boost. All it does is increase the timing of the motor without worrying about detonation (knock) because of the higher octane.
Allot of torque management reduction along with a few psi increase we are seeing desired torque at about 530 lb-ft on HPTuners on 92 octane. This thing is a real beast!
I think they should do one for the Malibu, ATS, and Regal with the Turbo Engine.
the only way you can get that kind of hp is boost, just like the diesel trucks getting over 100 hp with a tuner, with no boost this car would get about 20hp on tune alone, they are closing the waste gates .
