Cadillac CTS Named 2014 World Car Award Finalist

Ladies and Gentleman, as you may already know, Cadillac is well and truly on its way to becoming the standard of the world again with its line new new vehicles trickling out into the market. As of late, the American luxury car brand has been on an upward trend, with the rising popularity of the highly acclaimed ATS sports sedan, the debut of the masterfully designed Elmiraj and Ciel concepts, a brand new generation of the iconic Escalade SUV being released, and even the 2014 Cadillac CTS claiming Motor Trend’s highly coveted Golden Calipers as the 2014 Car of the Year. The CTS was also a NACTOY finalist, with the awards eventually going to the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and Corvette. Yes, the CTS seems to be Cadillac’s prized horse of late, and its a frontrunner for yet another major award: World Car of the Year.

The running lists of the World Car Finalists for the year 2014 has been whittled down to twelve finalists, yet still ranges from the humble Skoda Octavia to the Jeep Cherokee. The winner is expected to be announced at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in the coming weeks. And considering how well the critics have waxed poetic about third-generation CTS, we’re not about to bet against it.

Car-enthusiast since birth. British at heart. Just enjoying the ride!
