Buick Envision Crossover Spied In China

Buick’s new small crossover, which could be called Envison or Anthem, will find a place between the compact Encore and the larger Enclave. The new CUV was spotted undergoing testing in the U.S. late last year and has now been spotted testing in China for the first time. The Anthem will use a version of General Motors’ upcoming D2XX global vehicle architecture when it hits the Chinese and North American markets later this year. Powering the Anthem will most likely be a 2.0-liter turbo and/or a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine. According to Car News China, a concept previewing the production version of the Anthem will debut at the Beijing Motor Show in April. The car will borrow styling cues from the rakish Envision Concept, which was shown at last year’s Beijing Motor Show, and is expected to be produced locally in the Chinese and American markets.

  1. Interesting spy shots from the interior!

Similar interior as in the current Insignia/Regal. There is also the trackpad from the Insignia.

Problem is that the infotainment system of the Insignia was very critized when it entered the market. So we in Europe will see the same problem with the new Antara as Anthem and Antara will be nearly the same.

  2. This is looking good. I like that we get to see the interior. Is the little yellow box with the red button what puts you through the sunroof in an emergency? HA HA HA 🙂
