The longest running automotive TV series of all time, PBS’ Motorweek, has awarded the 2014 Cadillac CTS sedan with its Drivers’ Choice Award for Best Luxury Sedan.
The CTS finished ahead of  18 other vehicles eligible in the category. A group of eight judges from the shows editorial staff judged the cars based on performance, technology, practicality, fuel efficiency and dollar value.
“The CTS has become actual competition against European cars,” said Ben Davis, MotorWeek road test editor. “All of the sophistication you would expect to find in a worthy sport sedan are there. From its Magnetic Ride Suspension to its powerhouse Twin Turbo V6.”
The award is another for the CTS sedan’s trophy case, last year it was named the Motor Trend Car of the Year, Road & Track 2013 Luxury Car and one of Car and Driver’s 10 Best.

From what I read and how it looks, it probably is the best sedan in the world. It is the standard of the world.
It has a few things that will be worked out so do the others in class. GM will improve CUE and some trim items but GM will distill a great car to an even greater one.
Let’s put it this way BMW and Benz are now paying attention to GM and Cadillac and have stated so in the press. That would not have happened 10 years ago.
