This Matte Grey-Wrapped Opel Ampera Looks Aggressive, In An Environmentally-Friendly Way

Some have opined that the European-market Opel (Vauxhall) Ampera looks “better” than its otherwise global twin — the Chevrolet Volt. And while looks are subjective, few would argue that an Ampera in a dark gray matte wrap is a stunner.

Manufactured at GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck facility in Michigan, the vehicle in question is the new possession of Netherlands-based Paul Klinkenberg (@frinky on Twitter). According to Paul’s updates on the social network, the various tax cuts made it an offer he simply couldn’t refuse. Plus, Paul is now selling his 2008 Suzuki Swift 1.3D. We’d call that a good upgrade.

So, congrats, Paul, on a car well-chosen… and on a wrap well-picked.

PS: those wide-tip five-spoke wheels sure do look familiar.

  1. Dislike matte paint jobs. They look like primer awaiting paint.

  2. And they probably think you’re too shiny! 😉

I like this here matted Ampera. Been thinking of wrapping my CTS-V wagon in a matte white. Will be the only one in Germany.

  3. @Silent electrician: I don’t think you need to wrap that car to be the only one in Germany with one of those babies…..

  4. Murdered out is a good look, and the Ampera did get the better front and rear end.
