GM India Launches Free Roadside Assistance Program For New Chevy Buyers

General Motors India is kicking the new year off in style by launching a complimentary Roadside Assistance Program for all new Chevrolet buyers. Presented for Chevy vehicles purchased on or after January 1, 2014, the Chevrolet 24×7 Free Roadside Assistance Program — as it’s officially called — lasts for the first three years of ownership and provides around-the-clock hassle-free support in case of an emergency anywhere in India (except for the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

“Customer is the most important facet of our business. With the launch of the Chevrolet 24×7 Roadside Assistance Program, we are taking the ownership experience a step higher by ensuring complete peace of mind, comfort & convenience for our customers”, said Rajesh Singh, Vice President, Sales, Marketing and After-Sales, General Motors India. “The initiative includes special care & conveniences for our customers in the unfortunate event of vehicle immobilization such as free taxi provision and towing facility anywhere in India”.

The service is also available for purchase to existing Chevrolet owners, with prices being as follows:

Price For Vehicles Under Warranty
TERM PRICE (IN INDIAN RUPEES)

3 YEARS 2,700

The service is available for the fourth and fifth years of the vehicle being out of warranty for 1,350 Rupees per year.

The GM Authority Take

Given that General Motors sales in India have been slipping over the last 16 months, this is a welcome initiative. Here’s to hoping that it will make The Bow Tie brand’s vehicles more attractive to India’s car buyers.
