General Motors announced the appointment of Paul Edwards as U.S. vice president of Chevrolet Marketing, effective immediately. He replaces Chris Perry, who left abruptly.
Edwards, 44, has served as executive director of General Motors Global Marketing since 2010 where he was responsible for global media operations, agency management, marketing alliances, licensing, branded entertainment and global auto shows. Edwards will answer to Chevrolet Global Chief Marketing Officer Tim Mahoney in his new position.
“Paul’s broad experience in virtually all aspects of automotive marketing, across multiple brands, makes him a great fit for Chevrolet as we continue to build on our strong product momentum here in the U.S.,” Mahoney said in a statement.
Edwards began his career with GM in 1992 at Cadillac, where he held various sales and marketing positions until he was named manager of Chevrolet Advertising in 2003.
