The C7 Corvette Stingray is a huge advancement from the C6 Corvette. More power, direct injection, a stiffer chassis, the list of improvements goes on. But can a C7 Corvette beat a fully race prepped C6 Grand Sport around the track?
TFLCar recently headed down to High Plains raceway just outside Denver to meet up with president of GO 4 IT racing schools and professional driver Mike Pettiford. Pettiford owns a C6 race car, which he’s won multiple SCCA T1 races in, as well as a brand new, bone stock C7.  They saw this as the perfect opportunity to find out which is of the two is faster around the 2.55-mile long road course.
While the C6 has race headers, a roll cage, race seats, Penske three way adjustable suspension and more, the C7 is bone stock, save for some lightweight wheels and race slicks. Pettiford estimated the C6 would be about 2 seconds faster than the C7 around the track, but was he right? Find out in the two part video series below.

Very nice comparison. 🙂
Should have waited till the Z06 as it will easily beat this.
