A Look At The Evolution Of The Iconic Cadillac Crest

Over the years, the effervescent Cadillac Crest has evolved to match the modifications to the vehicles the company has presented to the world. Throughout these changes three features remained the same; texture, grid and color (blue, red, gold and black). This year, the Crest will, with the launch of the 2015 ATS Coupe, take on a new sleek and stylish innovation in design while keeping the same three features intact and remaining dominant, technical and monumental.

The four colors of the Crest will be represented more prominently than before when there was a wreath. Cadillac also notes that this new design is also is more feasible than the others because it can be included on steering wheels, grilles, deck lids, key fobs and printable items such as business cards. The new Crest design will first launch on the 2015 ATS Coupe in the second half of the year, with others to soon follow suit. There’s also this rather unique video celebrating the new Crest.

The best ones have a crest or wings or something surrounding or outlining the crest.

Other than the current version I tend to like the 1957 one the best. I feel like Driver 40 that the best do have something surrounding the shield.

Does anyone know if the new 2015 Escalade is going to have the new emblem from the get go? or is it going to be phased in? thanks

I love 1933. That also was the Cadillac’s most golden years.

Eric:The newly posted story of the Escalade interior has photos of the exterior at the bottom and all those of the front of the vehicle show a wreath around the shield. Too small to tell if it is a new shield or not, guess one would have to find the earlier story of the intro to tell for sure.
