Twin Turbo HPE700 Corvette Stingray Dyno Pull: Video

In February of last year, Hennessey Performance Engineering promised us they would produce a twin-turbocharged 2014 Corvette Stingray with 1,000 horsepower. HPE hasn’t quite filled that tall order yet, but they are well on their way with the completion of the HPE700 twin-turbo kit for the C7 Corvette.

Hennessey’s HPE700 Corvette is producing 608 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, with an estimated 708 horsepower at the crank. That might not seem like a huge improvement over the stock C7’s 450 horsepower output, but bear in mind that the HPE700 has completely stock internals. It’s also running relatively low boost, only 7 psi, due to the LT1’s high compression ratio.

HPE says it will only produce 24 twin-turbo C7 Corvettes for 2014, so prospective buyers should act now. Unfortunately, California residents will have to look elsewhere, as the HPE700 is not yet CARB certified.

Check out the dyno pull of the HPE700 in the video below.

  1. So if I live in California can I register this car in another state and bring it to California?

Cost the one thing I hate about these performance articles is they don’t include what a total package price will cost!

Does this setup come with a warranty? Does this void the new cars warranty?

    1. This voids the factory warranty. HPE offers a 1 year, 12,000 mile warranty with the package. I cant speak for all but most companies require you to give them a call for pricing.

  2. So why would someone do this right out of the box with a new car?

Is there a mile restriction to do this mod on a car? In other words will they not warrant a car with x number of miles on it? Because a old engine won’t handle the new power!
