The very first 2015 Opel Meriva MPV rolled off the company’s production line in Zaragoza, Spain on Tuesday. General Motors Spain Managing Director, Antonio Cobo, drove the first example of the updated Meriva off the production line accompanied by two employees with the longest and shortest tenures in the plant.
The 2015 Meriva received multiple updates for the 2015 model year, including a restyled front fascia with LED daytime running lights and a revised rear end with a new taillight design. Additionally, the 2015 Meriva features a wider range of Euro-6 certified engines including Opel’s new 1.6 liter CDTI diesel engine producing 136 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque.
