Chevrolet will auction off the rights to purchase the first production 2014 Camaro Z/28 and the first of 69 limited edition COPO Camaro’s this week at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale Arizona. All proceeds will benefit education and veteran empowerment groups.
The COPO Camaro will cross the auction block on Friday Jan. 17, with Fox Business News airing the bidding live. Carrying serial No.1, the car features a supercharged 5.7 liter V8 and a one-off Ice Blue Metallic paint scheme. All proceeds from the sale benefit the Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Vetereans.
The rights to purchase the first Camaro Z/28 will be sold a day later on Saturday Jan. 28, with the proceeds from its sales benefiting Detroit’s Cornerstone Schools.
Bids for both cars can be placed in person at the auction, or over on Barret-Jackson’s website.
