Old Opel Ascona Slams Into Brick Wall, Knocks It Over

Quick, which is sturdier, a brick wall or a 30 year-old Opel Ascona rally car? Usually we’d side with the brick wall on that bet, but this is Europe, and the incident from the Six Hours of Kortijk rally in Belgium from two weeks ago suggests otherwise.
The driver of the second-gen Ascona lost control on some mud and slammed into a brick shed at pretty low speed, which was enough to bring the entire wall crashing down on the hood of the old Opel. The driver and co-driver come out unscathed, but the same can’t be said for the wall or the car. Check it out in the video below. A hallow victory, as it were.
