China has emerged as General Motors’ largest market, shouldered up by sales figures of its joint-venture partners in the region. And for the first time ever, the Chinese market has yielded 3 million annual vehicle sales for GM and friends, with time still left in the year.
GM and its joint ventures offer over 40 different models under seven brands in China, and are investing about $11 billion in future product, facilities, and jobs through 2016.
