Corvette Racing C7.R Set To Debut At NAIAS In January

No more camouflage and no more renders. Chevrolet is set to officially unveil the Corvette C7.R race car alongside the highly anticipated Corvette Z06 at the 2014 North American International Auto show in Detroit next month.

Chevrolet says the C7.R race car and the new Z06 were co-developed, representing the strongest relation between a racing and a road-going Corvette in modern times. Little else is known about the new C7.R, other than its set to make its competition debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 25.

Oh, and of course Corvette Racings unofficial skull mascot logo, Jake, will make an appearance on the car. Chevrolet has tweaked the design a bit, making it “more modern and more aggressive” – just like the C7.R.

Sam loves to write and has a passion for auto racing, karting and performance driving of all types.
