Chevrolet Marketing Vice President Chris Perry Resigns

Following the wake of executive shuffles last week, including Mary Barra being announced as GM’s new CEO, comes news today that 53-year-old Chevrolet U.S. marketing chief Chris Perry has resigned, according to Automotive News. A replacement was not named.

Perry, who was recruited by now-ousted GM marketing chief Joel Ewanick, saw his role during his 3 1/2 year tenure change multiple times. At one point, he was GM’s U.S. marketing vice president for Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC.

The details are still unclear regarding the sudden resignation.

  1. What a great photo to use. An uncomfortable Brendan Rogers and the Reds.

  2. Excellent. The rest of the marketing department needs to go too. Good riddance. If this is Barra’s doing then she has my attention, for sure. She’d be doing exactly what I believe needs to be done. Next stop: Order a redesign and rethink of the Silverado/Sierra…and get Reuss and Welburn to handle it.
