Not that there’s anything wrong with the Cadillac Elmiraj Concept in its radiant plum skin rotating on the show floor. It’s just that… damn… what a looker in white. We came across this rendering via the D3Cadillac Facebook page.

Awesome
Stunning!
White has grown to become my favorite color on a Cadillac. I wish there were a rear view…
Too milky, needs more white diamond tricoat
The color of this car is not what’s important, it will look good in any color what’s important is how much tech and innovative advances can be in the car at production
The car still looks good but I am not much of a white car fan.
I would think that for whatever lofty price a production version of the LTS coupe or Elmiraj would go for, the consumer could pick whatever colour they would want.
It should be a given!
What Brian says is important but IMO aside from the gorgeous design the production car must be reliable and free of the nagging issues that plague most introductory models and making the cost of ownership after warranty expiration prohibitive. If I buy one of these I want to know that I can keep it for years with no issues as well as being able to maintain it without annoyances and a lot of maintenance costs. If that could be accomplished they have a “world beater” that could really put a dent in BMW, Mercedes, and even Bentley where after the initial warranty period the maintenance costs become prohibitive.
Though I rarely keep my daily drivers more than a year or two the one exception (and one I still own and love) is my 2003 Yukon Denali bought new and now has 120K miles on it. Aside from doing the recommended maintenance (100% by owner’s manual), replacing the tires, battery and wiper blades I have never had one problem with the SUV. Though I own six other GM cars, three of them less than three years old the Denali is the daily driver of choice. It is that kind of reliability and low cost long term ownership that the Elmiraj must have. If that can be accomplished along with the technology and innovation Brian calls out and the inspiring design it would truly return the Cadillac to “the Standard of the World”.
What a beautiful vehicle! It does look excellent in white. I wish I could buy one and rent it for weddings. It is so unique and so much better than the imports and even Hummer limousines!
“Pale horse”
More like pale unicorn.
Wow…that’s just a beautiful vehicle. I never would have thought it would pop like that in white. Build it!
Perfect….my ATS is white diamond but I’d prefer this clear, base white…it is called Olympic White….saw the color sample at garage the other day….
Damn that looks good. I agree it would be stunning in almost any color, except maybe pavement gray. My guess has been that they will build something remotely like it. Hopefully the key features that make it look so cool will be changed as little as possible for production.
