Not long ago we showed you the fastest C7 Corvette to date, which ran an 11.44 in the quarter mile at 129 mph, thanks to a 100 shot of nitrous. Well the builders of that car might want to head back to the drawing board, because they’ve just been beat.
Redline Motorsports and Vette Magazine have been working together to see what the Corvette Stingray and its 6.2 liter LT1 V8 can really do. With the addition of a Redline Motorsports LTX2 Camshaft, Kooks Headers and a 125 shot of Nitrous, it ran the quarter mile in 10.50 at 132 mph, making it the first C7 in the 10’s.
The competition for the world’s fastest C7 is just heating up, we have a feeling it’s only a matter of time before we see a new stingray break the 9-second barrier. Check out the current king of the throne in the video below, and don’t forget to turn those speakers up.
