Silverado HD Dually Tow Vehicle Debuts At SEMA

We hope that by now, everyone is aware of the immense capabilities of the GMC and Chevy HD truck lineup. They’ll do everything from troll a mall, to pulling a stump, to towing a racecar.

If we had to pick a quarter-mile beast to tow, we’d probably put the COPO Camaro somewhere towards the top. Chevy had this exact idea for SEMA, and decided that the truck hauling the COPO had to be equally cool.

The 2015 Silverado HD Dually COPO Tow Vehicle is a crew cab model, featuring a custom sprayed ice blue exterior, special lightweight shoes, chrome assist steps, a tool box, and bed lights.

What’s the HD towing exactly? A COPO Camaro race car. But what’s also a nice addition, is the COPO Camaro engine/transmission combo sitting in the bed.

This particular HD Dually tow vehicle is powered by the 6.0L gas engine and six-speed auto combo (and not the mighty Duramax-Allison combination), though remains sufficiently capable regardless.
