SEMA 2013: Chevrolet Performance Garage Camaro Combines Z/28, ZL1 Parts Into SS Body

All these over the top SEMA cars, they’re all just for show. Big rims here, body kit there… the usual showy stuff. But what can the performance enthusiast get excited about at SEMA this year? Well, the track-oriented Chevrolet Performance Garage Camaro definitely is one of those cars.

Based on the 2014 Camaro SS, this Camaro showcases current and future Chevrolet accessories available to order directly from Chevy. A body kit, rear spoiler and grille, RS halo-style headlamps, blacked out mirrors and 10-spoke Chevy’ track pack wheels conclude the aesthetic side of things.

As far as performance hardware goes, the Performance Garage Camaro has suspension components from the hard core Z/28 and a few from the ZL1. The ZL1 also lends its brakes and short throw shifter to this SEMA special, which can be ordered directly from the Chevrolet Performance catalog. The following Z/28 parts may also be available to order in the future:

  • “Shorty” exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust system
  • Front ride/handling links
  • Rear upper control arms
  • Stabilizer bars
  • Helical differential with internal cooling system
  • Brake ducts
  • Racing-derived DSSV(Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve) dampers (a la Z/28).
