Camaro ZL1 Enters 10-Second Range With Light Bolt-Ons: Video

We all should know by now that the Camaro ZL1 is a properly fast machine, even from the factory. After all, 580 hp and 560 lb-ft to the crank are big numbers, especially with the help of magnetic ride control, and some fat rear tires. It’s been rated with a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds, with no modifications.

Naturally, the car in the video below has been improved in those categories, with a few somewhat simple mods. Those modifications (courtesy of Redline Motorsports) are: a Roto-Fab cold air intake, 102MM throttle body and ported intake snout. For exhaust, a set of 1 7/8-inch American Racing headers and X-pipe helped to clear up the ZL1’s throat. And because more boost is never enough, a 2.55-inch pulley was used over the factory one. And of course, this monster of a car was in dire need of some meaty slicks.

Take a look at the video below, and watch this lightly modded ZL1 tear up the drag strip in just under 11 seconds, and hit an awesome 60-foot time of 1.62 seconds.
