There wasn’t any mentioning in the press release about it, but GM North American President Mark Reuss confirmed that the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado will offer a manual transmission. Repeat; the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado will offer a manual transmission.
There is but one caveat, however. Simply, the manual transmission will only be offered with the base, rear-wheel-drive WT model out of the gate when the 2015 Colorado launches in Q3 2014. Not the LT model, or Z71 model, for that matter. It’s unclear still if the alleged Colorado ZR2 off-roader would get the DIY shift treatment just yet, either. But still, it’s a start. Happy Monday, everyone.
