Redline Motorsports Outfits A 2014 Camaro ZL1 With Twin-Turbos

With only 40 miles on the odometer, a customer of Redline Motorsports decided that a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 was not in fact fast enough for them. Delusional? Maybe. Our new best friend? Yes.

Rolling out of the dealer lot, a standard Chevy Camaro  in ZL1 flavor offers a stout 580hp. Per the guys at Redline Motorsports, the factory TVS1900 supercharger was not stout enough. In order to fit the bill, they fitted a twin-turbo system from IPS Motorsports.

To make things work, the factory supercharger was removed, and an LS3 intake manifold was put in place. After that, two Garrett GT35R turbos were added, running at 14psi each. The owner of the Camaro supposedly wants to keep factory-like driving habits with the stock auto trans, just involving some extra power.

Stay tuned for updates on the progress of the build, as we’re sure that dyno sheets and burnout videos are headed our way.

  1. A man after my own heart.

I’m curious though, with twins -both pushing 14psi- I wonder what exactly his defintion of ” factory-like driving habits” is.

  2. I think the owner wants a “sleeper,” but will that be possible with all the extra plumbing and noise?

  3. A ZL1 Camaro could never be a sleeper. Malibu with a TwinTurbo V6 and all-wheel-drive would be a sleeper.
