The “Tumbler” from the Christopher Nolan-directed Dark Knight trilogy isn’t expected to make it in the next film based around the hero. Instead, according to Batman-On-Film.com, a website that’s dedicated to what’s pretty self-explanatory, The Dark Knight’s next ride is currently being designed by GM in its Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood. According to the report:
The Batmobile is currently being designed and built by General Motors at the GM Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood. This is the same team who most recently designed and built the vehicles for TRANSFORMERS 4 with Michael Bay – who was very hands-on and involved in the design/building process for the new Bumblebee Camaro. Anyway, back to the new Batmobile…
It will definitely NOT have a military look like The Tumbler from [Chris] Nolan’s ‘Dark Knight Trilogy.’
As of about four weeks ago, it was still “pictures on the wall” – meaning nothing had actually been built yet.
An “old Cadillac” will feature prominently in the film. When I remarked to my source that the Cadillac Sixteen concept car from a few years back looked a lot like a Batmobile, he stayed mum.
An “old Cadillac?” Why not the Cadillac Elmiraj? Regardless, GM’s marketing department seems to enjoy the high-budget product placement of vehicles, and it we’re interested to see what the design studio rolls out.

Featuring the production version of the upcoming cadillac flagship in the movie would be a great publicity move for the new vehicle. But by the sound of it, it will probably be a concept like the sixteen.
If there’s going to be a concept car in the movie, it better make it to production shortly after
I was thinking the same thing. The Elmiraj should certainly fit the bill.
I think my ATS looks like a batmobile….love it!!!!!
My little cousin always says my CTS coupe looks like a bat mobile
