We’ve already introduced you to Autumn De Wilde, the renowned Indie rock photographer turned auto photographer for the 2015 Cadillac Escalade. But what inspired her when taking glamour shots of the luxury brand’s new flagship SUV?
Starting out photographing musicians, De Wilde says she always liked how photos came out when she was a fan of someone or a fan of what they did. That being said, she searched for that feeling when taking photos for GM and the Escalade, immersing herself in the subject, finding what she loved most about the car and its production process.
De Wilde found herself fascinated by the glare and jewelry found in the SUV’s new LED headlights. She created an abstract piece with two prism like sculptures in the background intended to make someone come back to the photo and look more at the car. It worked for us, because when the 2015 Escalade’s official photos were released, we couldn’t take our eyes off it.
