Vauxhall’s Insignia Country Tourer, essentially a rugged, beefed up, all-purpose Insignia Sports Tourer, is now available to order in the UK with prices starting from from £25,349. That’s £5,000 less than the Audi A4 Allroad and £2,400 less than the Volkswagen Passat Alltrack, two of its key D-segment competitors.
The Insignia in Country Tourer trim will fetch £25,349 to £29,709 depending on options. Bi-Xenon headlights, power tailgate and front and rear parking sensors come standard on the Country Tourer. The more premium Country Tourer Nav receives Navi 900 IntelliLink satellite navigation with an 8-inch color touch screen, multi-function touch-pad controller and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster as standard. It will range between £26,499 to £30,859.
As far as powertrain options go, customers will have a choice between two 2.0 liter CDTi diesel engines. The less powerful diesel produces 160 hp and can be had with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, whereas the more powerful 190 hp bi-turbo unit can only be optioned with the automatic.

First deliveries of the Vauxhall Insignia Country Tourer are due in January of 2014.
