The automotive supply chain is an enormously complex machine, and if one gear isn’t in sync with the rest, it can disrupt the whole process. Such is the case currently with the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks. Specifically, those equipped with the popular 5.3L V8 engine choice, according to Bloomberg. And while it’s expected to only be a temporary issue, GM has to ration the amount of vehicles dealers can order, which is turning out to be less than what the market wants.
Champagne problems.
