GM Cuts Price Of Chevrolet Volt In Germany

As is the case with the Opel Ampera, the price of the Chevrolet Volt has been lowered in Germany, from €42,950 to €38,000 for the 2014 model year.

“The lower price and cost savings from driving on electricity provide Volt owners a unique balance of technology, capability and cost of ownership,” said Thomas Sedran, President and Managing Director, Chevrolet Europe. “The latest Volt model will offer the same impressive list of features as before, plus Chevrolet’s new MyLink connected radio.”

In August, Chevrolet lowered the price of the Volt in the United States by $5,000. Chevrolet says the price reductions reflect “the great strides the company has made in reducing costs as it gains experience with electric vehicles and their components.”

The lower price should attract more shoppers into Chevrolet showrooms in the region.

“Economic” car costs like an average crossover. It’s normal price should be about $20000.
