Discovery Of 1969 Camaro, Early 1950’s Chevy Sedan Open Up Two Cold Cases

The two submerged Chevrolet vehicles discovered by police testing sonar equipment in Foss Lake near Elk City, Oklahoma  have been missing for over forty years, as with the people they disappeared with. According to The Elk City Daily News, 16-year-old Jimmy Allen Williams of Sayre, Oklahoma went missing with Thomas Michael Rios and Leah Gail Johnson in November of 1970 in Williams’ 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Separately, a still-to-be-named early 1950’s model Chevrolet sedan was also discovered. Both vehicles contained human remains.

Creepy? Creepy. In total, six separate bodies were found at the scene, and re-opens a pair of cases that went cold from decades ago. It’s also generated a great deal of interest from the local community, and hopefully investigators can help give some answers to the families who were left in mourning so many years ago.
