Narrowly, the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 emerged victorious after a comparison test with the Ram 1500, as determined by Consumer Reports. One could argue that Consumer Reports has a bias for Japanese-branded vehicles, but since none were present in this test, they’re forced to go American.
The 2014 Silverado won the comparison test by 3 points, with a score of 81/100. And while the Chevy won overall, CN preferred the seats and button layout of the Ram. Will it be this close when the Silverado goes up against the all-new F-150 next year? Stay tuned.
