Cadillac hopes to capture the interests of young Chinese car buyers (and grow its annual sales volume) when it introduces the ATS sports sedan to the Chinese market in the fourth quarter of this year.
GM Shanghai will import the ATS from the United States into China, where it will be sold in Cadillac dealers all over the nation. The ATS will be priced competitively in comparison to the BMW 3-Series and Audi A4, two of the most popular luxury compact cars in China.
China is now GM’s largest market, where it sells more vehicles than it does in its home market of the United States.

China is the largest car market. Full stop.
Has bypassed the US market two years ago, I believe. Not necessarily by total value, but certainly by the number of units.
And it is the largest car market for each and every automobile manufacturer, and if not, this company is in big trouble. Methinks.
China houses about one sixth of all mankind. China has to be the largest of each and everything in the world.
