The Chevrolet Cavalier just can’t seem to catch a break this week. Most recently, it was involved in a crash with a dose of word-play we just couldn’t resist to bring to your attention.
That’s because the Cavalier crashed into Ferrari’s. But not the car, or multiple Ferrari models, for that matter. Workers at Ferrari’s Pizzeria in Beachwood, New Jersey got a not so pleasant surprise when a Chevrolet Cavalier slammed into the pizzerias storefront.
Upon first reading the articles title, we figured a disgruntled Cavalier enthusiast slammed his wonderful example of J-bodied transportation into a Ferrari in an angry retaliation to The Slow Mo Guys latest experiment.
As it turns out the driver was not angry about the destruction of an irreplaceable Cavalier Convertible, he was just oh-so-very intoxicated.
65 year old Norman Eayre, employee at Ferrari’s Pizzeria, said that the driver of the Cavalier attempted to pull into a parking spot “and he just kept on coming, and then he hit the wall.”
Police took the suspect into custody on suspicions of drunk driving. His name was not released and his Manta Green Chevrolet Cavalier was promptly towed from the scene.

Riding on a donut tire, half in the bag, and feelin’ peckish for pizza.
What a shame…one man’s careless negligence causing damage to a perfectly good pizza joint!
