With every passing generation of pickup trucks, they’ve become more expensive, powerful, and luxurious. We know that the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 HD trucks will have carryover frames and mechanics from the previous generation, however, they have all-new interiors and exteriors, which get an A from us, since they’re much like that from their non-HD cousins. Some people judge a truck by it’s cover, while others look under the hood first.
So tell us, what do you think? Are the new exterior and interior enough to deserve the “hot” rating, or would it take a new frame and powertrain to deserve that?

A freight train made of knuckles and bisceps!
But just like the 1500, the front end needs to loose some chrome; bumper done body colour and grille style the same, but altered to reduce chrome. The Black-ops show truck looked amazing for many reasons, but the biggest being the blacked out/ body colour front end
So basically the front end of the High Country/Denali looks 100% better the all that chrome
Thank God they make chevys ugly. It makes it easier to sell GMCs!
It is big. I hope the mid size… Colorado I expect will hurry to market. I need a truck but no longer need something this big.
It looks good. Now for that updated platform, engine and transmission to a 10 speed auto, 450 hp 880 lb-ft 6.8 V-8 diesel.
need a little * by that carryover frame comment in the article – wasn’t the chassis just recently updated a few years ago?
With the new Ram getting all Type of Heavy Duty improvement and Ford doing the same to its HD, i will have to say the GM twines are getting behind . A pretty face and nice option is not going help the GM twins do the heavy duty work.
