A factory Cadillac ATS 2.0T is a load of fun from the factory, but sometimes fun just isn’t enough. Sometimes owners want a little more gusto than what they can find from stock. And Vermont Tuning, LLC can prescribe just that with their Stage 2 tuning package for the ATS turbo.
The package involves just what’s under the hood, and features flex fuel sensor, a larger billet compressor wheel and turbine wheel into the stock turbo, a 3-inch intake, 3-inch DP and custom 2.5-inch dual exhaust. Add the proper fuel — in this case, E47, and the results put the ‘roided ATS at roughly 309 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque at the wheels, judging by the dyno chart. That’s a 92 horsepower and 116 lb-ft improvement over what the stock unit laid on the dyno. And with the all-wheel-drive model, it will run 12.76 seconds in the quarter mile, with a trap speed of 108 miles per hour. That’s a two second improvement over a stock ATS4. And judging by the video below, they certainly fixed the muted exhaust that takes some personality away from the the factory model.
